Dr. Bertrand Grenier

Bertrand Grenier is a Scientist at the Research Center of BIOMIN and responsible for implementing “Omics” approaches in regard to animal health and biomarker discovery. 

In 2007, with the support of BIOMIN, he started his research on the effect of mycotoxins on the vaccinal and intestinal responses of pigs in France at INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique). After completing his PhD in Food Toxicology in 2011, he moved to the USA to pursue a postdoctoral research at Purdue University, where he developed his expertise on mycotoxins in poultry nutrition. In 2014, Dr. Grenier moved to Austria. He has been conducting research on biomarkers, mode of action of feed additives, and contaminants at the Research Center of BIOMIN. He specialized in Next Generation Sequencing technologies, especially RNA sequencing for studying animal transcriptome and biomarkers. He is author and co-author of 12 articles and 7 reviews/chapters in peer-reviewed journals, and gave more than 30 talks at international conferences.
